Gretel Out of the Woods TDX SIN SEN SBN

Temperament

There is no sweeter dog than Gretel. Gretel comes from a line of distinguished hunting and field champions and, on top of that, she is an absolute sweetheart. She has the strong drive to be expected from her pedigree but, when the action is over, Gretel loves to lounge around the house and sleep in late. Her intelligence, drive, and focus have made her an easy dog to train. She earned her first scent work titles at eight months old, her Tracking Dog (TD) title at fourteen months, and her Tracking Dog Excellent (TDX) title a year later. She is ready to attempt the Variable Surface Tracking (VST) test and earn the Champion Tracker title just as soon as we can get a spot in an event!

Health

Gretel has completed all health screenings to receive the Canine Health Information Center (CHIC) certification (hips, elbows, heart, and eyes). In addition, through genetic testing, Gretel has been cleared of hereditary diseases common among golden retrieves, as well as over a hundred others. She is not a carrier of any of the 150 disease-causing genetic mutations for which she has been tested.
